From the Hills of Valdobbiadene to Your Glass at Tre Ciccio!

Rebecca and Martina take in the sights, sounds and flavours of Valdobbiandene and are bringing them back to you!

This month, our restaurant managers from Tre Ciccio Altrincham and Tre Ciccio Ramsbottom took a trip to the heart of Italy’s wine country to experience where some of our favourite bottles begin.

We walked through the UNESCO World Heritage hills of Valdobbiadene, learning about the ciglioni — the narrow, terraced vineyards that define the landscape. Seeing the care and effort that goes into farming those steep slopes gave us a whole new appreciation for every glass we pour.

We explored the Prosecco Superiore region, visiting vineyards that have been worked by the same families for generations. Their attention to detail, respect for the land and genuine love for what they do is something truly special — and it’s what makes Italian winemaking so unique.

Our journey also took us to Asolo, known as the City of a Hundred Horizons. It’s a town full of charm, history and views that stretch for miles — the kind of place that captures the relaxed, welcoming spirit we love to bring into our restaurants.

And beyond the bubbles, we spent time on Montello, discovering how the region’s winemakers are crafting incredible still wines that reflect both tradition and creativity.

Trips like this remind us why we do what we do — because behind every bottle and every plate, there’s a story of passion, people and place.

Next time you visit Tre Ciccio, ask us about what we saw, learned and tasted — we’re always happy to share a little bit of Italy with you lovely lot!

It's given us some ideas so stay tuned to see what comes next!
